UG! It'll soon be a year since the last Warrior Games so what better way to celebrate than to host them again this year?

Having sat down with Rauna at the least sticky table in the Drum, suggestions have been mulled over with plans drafted, redrafted and finally agreed on we're pleased to announce that the games will be taking place from the 11th to the 13th March.

We're bringing back the events from last year and adding new ones!

1. Track in Field
Use your tracking skills to locate where our chosen target has wandered off to. We'll begin in a pub within AM, first to find the chosen target wins!

2. Stylish Warrior
Head on down to DJB and flaunt your warrior stuff at Rauna (she loves it). Prizes for Best Dressed, Best Warcry and Best Warpaint!

3. Trophy Hunt
You'll be taken to a random location and asked to gather the heads of NPCs for a given theme.

4. Horse Race
Bring your trusted steed/hobby horse/newbie and prepare for a checkpoint race. Expect fighting and drinking along the way!

5. Bar Brawl
How can there be a Warriors Games without everyone meeting in a pub and beating the living daylights out of each other? Last Warrior standing wins!

6. Rugby
Same as last year, 3 seperate matches where you fight for possession of the rugby ball and hopefully score a few tries! Warrior vs Warrior, Warrior vs Everyone else and hopefully the return of the Newspaper match open to everyone.

Keep an eye on the boards and event list for more information, times and dates to be confirmed!

Best Dressed

Turtlespawn

This is a beautiful colour picture of Turtlespawn. It shows:
You see Chef Turtlespawn the Awesome Combatant of the Ankh-Morpork
Palace Guard.
He is a strapping young son of a Star Turtle.
He is the Disc's first warrior-chef. It all began one day when he
watched All Jolson at work and thought to himself: "Shouting, slicing
meat into chunks and setting them on fire? I can do that." He now
offers cooking lessons to anyone who wants to learn, and can be often
found doing so at the Flaming Cabbage (when he isn't out shouting,
slicing meat into chunks and setting them on fire).
His face is clearly decorated with the Mona Ogg in blood red paint.
Holding : Turtletooth (left hand) and Turtleclaw (right hand).
Wearing : Turtleboots, Turtlehands, Turtlefleece, Turtlecollar and
          Turtlecoif.
Carrying: a tin of blood red paint and Turtleface.
Ptodium

This is a beautiful colour picture of Ptodium pteh Pterrible. It
shows:
You see Ptodium pteh Pterrible the Commander of the Mess Hall of the
Djelian Guard.
He is a fabulous specimen of Djelian masculinity.
He is tall, sun-kissed and rippling with muscle; his typical
expression suggests party balloons might have more on their minds.
He is standing at attention by the archway.
He has a purple rose, a dark rose, a red rose, a midnight rose and a
yellow rose neatly braided into his hair.
His muscles gleam sexily with oil.
You can just make out a scintillating flying scarab in pale copper
paint beneath his mask.
Holding : a bronze rumha (left hand and right hand).
Wearing : a pair of leather sandals, a white Djelian loincloth, a tan
leather backpack, a close-fitting black leather bag, a
bright copper necklet, an Offler-headed mask, a steel charm
bracelet, an oiled leather waist sling, a scarab ring, a red
badge, a black opal ring and four club badges.
Carrying: a hessian sack.
Naeshoes

This is a beautiful colour picture of Naeshoes. It shows:
You see Naeshoes the Mummy's Girl of the Lancre Highland Regiment.
She has no shoes. She definitely looks like a small warrior and looks
not at all like small witch that is pretending to be a warrior.
She is galloping around.
Her face has carefully applied stripes of dark green camouflage paint
on it.
She is riding proudly upon a black hobbyhorse.
Her face is clearly decorated with the shoeless footprints of wild
pictsies in pale blue paint.
Holding : a black hobbyhorse (left hand) and a large metal shield
         (right hand).
Wearing : a pair of leather greaves, a pair of metal gauntlets, a
          hardened leather breastplate, a hunter's pack, a witch's
pointy hat, a mail coif, an oiled leather waist sling, a
narrow silver toe ring, a sprig of lilac and a club badge.
Carrying: a tin of pale blue paint and a witch's warrior's black
          cloak.
