Long Description

This is a rounded iron helm, with a spectacle-shaped eye guard, and a spike on the crest. A fine mesh of mail is suspended from the bottom of the eye guard, which hangs down over the face.

The vendel helm is about a foot long and about nine inches wide. It is made of iron and could be worn as armour.
