Issues with knowledge that shouldn't be on here
Frazyl is currently updating the poisons on here, detailing how they, and gasbombs, are made. This is very restricted information within the Assassins guild, especially the Conlegium Sicariorum. As such I STRONGLY believe that this information should not be allowed on the wiki at all. It is guild policy that only assassins of gl300 and higher are allowed to read the books with the exact recipes in them. If the info is provided here it would be in direct opposition to that policy and as such is interfering with the way we run our guild. I'd already removed the recipes previously and had also said to Frazyl that the information is not available to most players and therefore is not fit to include here. As he seems to be going ahead with supplying this restricted info with no thought to our guild I am therefore obligated to contact other administrators of the wiki to see if this blatant disregard for restricted knowledge can be stopped.
From experience, the shadowy character sneaks up to me, regardless of whether or not I'm on guild grounds. --Tabs 17:35, 14 November 2010
"Fix is not a guild command." - What does that even mean? Of course it is. Tiggum 06:50, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
I fixed weightkey some time ago so we don't need to put the weight twice, it automatically strips the ''' used to make it bold so that it sorts properly. Putting the number twice is unnecessary, prone to error on edits and makes the page source bigger than it needs to.
I put Container back except for the extra info on the embroidered canvas backpack.

- Ok, I just followed the documentation. Would you mind adjusting the documentation accordingly? The paragraph about "Alternate printable representation" suggests any formatting should be put only into the optional second parameter. --Gunde 07:23, 24 November 2010 (UTC)
Hi, I just wondered if it's making a rod for your own back trying to maintain stock lists for player shops on the wiki? Zexium 21:40, 27 May 2012 (UTC)
- I am just going through Special:DeadendPages, and if I update shop owners etc I might as well add the stock.

Email is currently disabled on the wiki for security reasons. (Can be used to send unsolicited email, which can then be reported, etc.) Plus I didn't think anyone used it much.
When someone edits your user talk page then on every page you visit when you're logged in there's a bold colored band at the top of the window that warns you of it.
As for turning email on, it's possible, though it might or might not work since ISPs block email sending when too much is sent too fast or just when they feel like it. Can try it.
Or if you're running an authenticated ssl mail forwarder then I could send email through that.
So, what do you think?

Email notifications should work now. --Frazyl 09:03, 13 February 2013 (UTC)
Editing Login page
By default only sysop can edit pages in the Mediawiki namespace (the editinterface permission), which you are so it should work.
This works with a test user.
