Horse Notes

This is a dump page to make notes of various horse related skills and bonuses used.

Very, very rough data from various players. No solid data to back up claims.

It is possible to fall off your horse during a charge:

Hrull hunches down over the rose grey horse and spurs her into a walk at the energetic priest.
Hrull charges straight into the energetic priest, putting all his weight into the blow.
Hrull loses his precarious attachment to Valkyrie the rose grey horse and goes flying.
Hrull shouts with a Lancrastian accent: For the Horde!
The energetic priest is rocked by the bloodcurdling warcry.
Hrull launches a powerful attack.  Hrull slices his highly illegal greatsword deeply into the energetic priest's right arm.
Valkyrie the rose grey horse launches a powerful attack.  Valkyrie the rose grey horse rips flesh off the energetic priest's right arm.
Hrull falls off Valkyrie the rose grey horse.

Thoughts

Please note that the following may be wrong

--Saddlecloth--

Is it possible that the saddlecloth acts as a mild amplifier for the saddle your horse is wearing? Where a Genuan saddle alone reduces the stamina cost during combat, a Genuan saddle + saddlecloth would reduce the stamina cost further.


--Stamina--

My theory is that the Vitality trait determines the pool of stamina available to your horse (for whatever activity). The amount of stamina used is based on a horses trait and your skill bonus (riding = ad.mo.ri.ho & speed, combat = fi.sp.mo & str).

Having better skills and a higher relevant trait will minimise the amount of stamina your horse uses during that activity, requiring a lower vitality and thus a smaller stamina pool.

Vitality can be raised through use by using your horse to exhaustion. Since you are running the stamina pool to empty it triggers the next adjustment to increase vitality and thus increase your horses stamina pool.
