Can someone add more clarification on what the table means? I formatted it so it would look better but I've yet to understand what it means.--Aell 19:50, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

Added some better descriptive language to try to address any confusion about the table.--Taranis 20:26, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

Aye, some sort of guide to woodworking (similar to the craft pages Kefka made) would more more useful, indiscriminate lists aren't much use to help someone starting out with woodwork. Same applies to the finesmithing page. Rehevkor 18:02, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

I didn't know there was a woodworking craft, neat ... once I've finished with these goats ... ! Rig

Bodging Bodging (the first stage of making an item) uses cr.arts.design as well since I TMed it making a staff.--Xorphitus 18:17, 18 June 2010 (UTC)

Just managed to polish a stick to a 'lustrous sheen'. Anyone know if this is better or worse than a 'beautiful sheen' or a 'gleaming sheen'? Exoth

Just got a 'beautiful' result when staining with a painting bonus of 214: It has been beautifully stained dark brown. --Ecal

I made a pen that said "This is obviously a pen, and it would probably do well for any normal purpose, but it's not exactly comfortable to write with." which isn't listed in the results. I'm not sure were it goes compared to the other results though. --Sigil (Talk) 01:47, 16 September 2012 (UTC)

I commented out the "wouldn't impress a demon" description for the walking stick - after an hour of attempts I could consistently make either of the adjacent descriptions but never this one, believe it exists only on the staff/wand. --Ruhsbaar 14 April 2020

I've been making walking sticks recently and I don't think that the very first stage (turning) ever fails? Can anyone confirm whether or not they've had failures at turning? I'm trying to see see what kinds of bonuses in which skill yield a given result. Perhaps turning only requires 150 bonus, for example, but you need whittling at 350?--Morinehtar 2/18/2024

I believe but can not prove/confirm, that your turning bonus matters even though you can not see its influence until after the shaving step. I believe that your bonus in turning will cap the possible results you could achieve. So you need both very high turning and sanding skills to achieve the best results.
