What's with the weird SpellStorage::15 links? --B (t) 19:35, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

Spellcheck Project

I've got no idea how to edit wikis but perhaps someone could link this to the spellcheck project page as it is a fairly useful site when looking up information on spells. Ashdug 04:17, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

To edit a page you just click on the "edit" link for the section, or the one at the top for the whole page. Click the edit for this section to see how I've done this.
The basics of linking:
  • To link to a page in the wiki, surround its title with double square brackets, like so: Transcendent Pneumatic Alleviator. If you want the link text to be something other than the page title, put a | after the title and put the desired link text after the |, like so: wizard shield
  • To link to something outside the wiki, surround the url with single square brackets, like so: [1]. If you want the link text to be something other than just a number, add a space after the url and put the desired link text after it, like so: Spellcheck for TPA
  • To link to a spellcheck project page for a spell, using the template I just made, do this:
{{Spellcheck Project|TPA}}
It looks like this: Disc Wizards: Transcendent Pneumatic Alleviator Except, replace "TPA" with the initials of the spell as used in the project. (The template works by making a link to http://spc.darkmud.co.uk/info/spell.php?id= and then adding whatever initials you put in to the end of the link.) --Ilde 04:39, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
ETA: With the template, you can also change the link text; just add another | after the spell initials and add the text you want to use for the link after that. Like this:
{{Spellcheck Project|TPA|Spellcheck Project for TPA}}
Which looks like: Spellcheck Project for TPA

Thanks for that next time I see a page missing that sort of thing I'll know how to replace it :) Ashdug 05:03, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
Glad to help! :) There's more over here but in my opinion the most important thing to be able to do is creating links. --Ilde 05:27, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
It might be worth adding this to the Spell infobox. --Beale (t|c) 11:25, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
