Staining adverbs vs results

The adverbs you get when performing the stain command, versus the actual result. Repeats (i.e. the same result from the same adverbs in the same order) are omitted.

Trying to see what the difference is when you have different adverbs during different stages in staining.

It looks like the second (or last, if some patterns are three stages? I only tried two-stage patterns) stage has the largest effect on the results by far--in fact, it doesn't seem like the adverb you get in the first stage matters. In every single example, a particular end result corresponded to a particular adverb in the second stage--although it does look like an adverb can have more than one result, e.g. "carefully" with the cabbages pattern.

Unsure if it might have an effect on something other than the description, though--i.e. how happy Ozzie is with your results during pottery missions.

Old staining results tables

Edit: I've restored these to the main page. My idea that the item you were staining affected the difficulty was based on a misunderstanding.

(I thought that I was having more trouble with the cabbage pattern because I was staining it on something more difficult... but in fact I was having more trouble with it because it was a different, more difficult pattern.)

After doing a bunch of staining (well, stain commands that I stopped in the middle so as to be able to reuse the same pottery) on different items, it doesn't seem that anything except plates is harder to stain.

Here are my results:
