Jassi the Inferno says in Klatchian with a Klatchian accent: I will not make anything for the greedy hands of those who seek me out... but I may forge a piece that can be be given as a gift from one to another.

Jassi the Inferno says in Klatchian with a Klatchian accent: I am no slave, and you will have nothing from me without payment. Bring me the enchanted purple sand your mages prize so highly. For the weapon you desire, my price will be one handful.

List of goods

Jassi the Inferno says in Klatchian with a Klatchian accent: I can make many fine weapons from all across this great continent. Here is what I will consider making for you. Nothing else is worthy of my time and skill, so do not ask.

Jassi the Inferno says in Klatchian with a Klatchian accent:

The keris, a wicked dagger from Hersheba with a menacing flamberged blade.
The khopesh, a sword of Djelian origin with a deadly crescent blade and lethal cutting edge.
The partizan, a magnificent Syritti spear used for out-ranging one's opponents and delivering devastating thrusts.
The grand scimitar, a mighty blade of Klatchistani origin that few are worthy to wield.
The parashu, a versatile battleaxe with a single lethal blade, first used by the armies of Ur.
The gurz, a brutal Istanzian mace with a spiked head and great destructive potential.
The flying hammer. It is a wicked chain weapon that some claim comes from Muntab. I know not its true origin, but I recognise its potential as a killer of men.
And finally, the tabar-shishpar. Part axe, part hammer and part war pick, this weapon requires perhaps the most skill of all to wield effectively. The people of Elharib and Smale both claim to have invented the design. I do not care which of them is right.

Placing an order

Humbly request that a weapon be forged.

Have 1 handful of Purple Mineral Powder in your immediate inventory, to pay Jassi.

Give Jassi a required additional item he asks for. (He whispers to you in Klatchian so you must have sufficient Klatchian spoken to be able to understand his request. As the request is whispered, no one else nearby can hear what he has asked for, but you.)

You cannot use the item yourself. You can only gift the weapon to another player, whom the item is automatically bonded to when you "present" the item to them.

In order for the other player to accept the weapon, they require RAW bonuses of 175 in magic.items.talisman and people.culture.klatchian, checked in that order. (Confirmed and tested by Falinore).

beseech <living> to {make|forge} [a] {sand|flame} <weapon>
beseech jassi to forge a {flame partizan}

You hand over some {one handful} purple mineral powder and humbly beseech Jassi the Inferno to forge you a new weapon.

Jassi the Inferno looks appraisingly at you.

You beseech Jassi the Inferno to make you a weapon.

Jassi the Inferno says to you in Klatchian with a Klatchian accent: Hmph. I could make something using this. I'll need something else in addition, however. An item of great importance that is vital to the forging process.

Jassi the Inferno thinks carefully.

Jassi the Inferno beckons you closer.

Jassi the Inferno whispers to you in Klatchian with a Klatchian accent: You must bring me a {bamboo plant}. I cannot create your weapon without it.

Jassi the Inferno says to you in Klatchian with a Klatchian accent: Now go.

Jassi the Inferno asks in Klatchian with a Klatchian accent: Hmm, so you brought me a {bamboo plant}, did you?

You offer to give a {bamboo plant} to Jassi the Inferno.

Jassi the Inferno takes the {bamboo plant}.

Jassi the Inferno laughs.

Jassi the Inferno says in Klatchian with a Klatchian accent: How sad.

Jassi the Inferno holds the bamboo plant in one hand and calmly reaches into the furnace, immolating it in short order.

Jassi the Inferno says to you in Klatchian with a Klatchian accent: You humans are pathetic. You will run yourselves ragged for the chance to get your hands on even a fraction of our power.

Jassi the Inferno says to you in Klatchian with a Klatchian accent: Fine. I've had my fun with you, I'll make your weapon. Come back to me in one day to claim it. Now leave.

{Flame} Gold-veined tabar-shishpar Misc. The gold-veined tabar-shishpar is about two feet long and about six inches wide. It is made of klatchian steel and could be used as a weapon of type misc. This fascinating weapon is surely the product of somebody who wanted to have it all and was willing to sacrifice nearly everything, including practicality, and personal safety. It looks as if somebody has started with a lightweight, one-handed mace and then attached both an axe head and a war pick to the opposite end of the handle. The haft is too short to comfortably swing with two hands, so any prospective wielder will have to learn to pivot and manipulate this monstrosity one-handedly. The Klatchian steel haft is suffused with veins of gleaming gold, so at the very least it might make an aesthetically intriguing conversation piece. Collecting the weapon

Jassi the Inferno gives a gold-veined partizan to you. Jassi the Inferno says to you in Klatchian with a Klatchian accent: This weapon is not for your hands, mortal. Long gone are my days of serving your kind. Present it to one you consider worthy of such a gift and they will glean its true power.

present <weapon> to <person>

failiure due to low talisman bonus:

The gold-veined partizan expresses resentment towards ___________, judging her to be too ignorant to properly communicate with.

failiure due to low klatchian culture (166) bonus:

The gold-veined partizan refuses to form a bond with someone so ignorant of its proud cultural history.

success when klatchian culture increased to a 176 bonus and talisman increased to 175:

You solemnly present the gold-veined partizan to ______________. As you hand it over, it thrums faintly with inner power.

I was able to receive and invoke a weapon with 175 bonuses in pe.cu.kl and ma.it.ta Tempo (talk)

Invoking flame weapons

This is just what I've heard, please correct/edit/delete when you have actual research.

Each time you "invoke" a flame weapon, your weapon will give flame damage to your attacks for approximately 4-5 minutes, with a cooldown period of approximately 15 minutes per invoke. If you invoke before the 5 minutes have elapsed, this time is extended. but every time you invoke you take HP damage in increasing amounts. So for example the first time you invoke this might be 600-650 HP, the second invoke 1200-1300 HP and the third invoke 2500 HP and the fourth perhaps 3000 HP. Naturally this can kill you if you are not careful. (NB: RESEARCH NEEDED, these are just estimated numbers)

You will be able to invoke them again once you've recovered a little more of your strength from the previous usage.

Unfortunately this does not seem to stack with the flame damage from the ritual Holy Weapon and the two may in fact interfere with each other. But we welcome testing.

Results from Niniko: Flame partizan - invoke time = approx 4 mins, HP damage = 405 HP (1st invoke), Cooldown 11-12 minutes
Results from Tarskee: failiure to invoke causes 20% HP loss i.e. of her maximum 2500 HP, i.e. 500 HP. Successful invoking caused her only 15% damage = 375 HP (1st invoke)

Storing Sand Weapons

Sand weapons can be stored in certain items of jewellery on sale in the smithy nearby to Jassi's forge. You can only store one sand weapon in a piece of this jewellery, and it is not possible to store another sand weapon in a second piece of jewellery. Whilst the item is "dispersed in the sands" of the jewellery i.e. stored, the item has no weight and thus does not affect your burden. When you retrieve the weapon from your jewellery, you draw it directly into your hands. Full instructions on how do do both are written on the gift box that you buy your sand jewellery in.

Storing the weapon takes no gp. Retrieving it takes 20 gp (either faith or no particular type, because I can do it when I only have faith gp) and uses and can tm magic.items.talisman. A 176-177 bonus is enough to succeed most of the time.

Esteemed Effendi,

It is my most humble of wishes that the contents of this box meet with your approval. The item within holds a magical link to the endless desert sands and, as such, will help you to store a weapon that shares such a link. I believe you will know when you see such a weapon.
The following may be of use to you when storing and retrieving weapons in such a fashion:

You must first '''attune''' an appropriate weapon to the scabbard. A weapon can only be attuned in such a way if wielded by the rightful owner.

Once a weapon is attuned, you may '''disperse''' it into sand to be stored away.
You may '''restore''' a stored weapon back to its solid form with merely a thought, ready to serve your willl.

The magics involved in the creation of these items do imbue a certain sense of self, and with that comes a sense of jealousy. You will find that the scabbard will refuse to serve you if it senses that you are trying to use more than one at the same time.

Your humble servant, whose name is of no import.

Jassi the Inferno says in Klatchian with a Klatchian accent: I am bound to work this forge for all of time, but do not think for a moment that this means I am at your service.
