Description(s)
Descriptions are example(s) from a single individual. Variations may be numerous, and dependent upon species, gender, age, location, and other variables.
Anhk-Morpork
Rat [Streets, Pepper Pot, River]
This is a large rat. It appears to have done well living in the city. The pollution must not affect it too much.
- Alignment: Neutral
Large Evil-Looking Rat [Pepper Pot, under docks, river]
This rat is absolutely huge. It is at least twice the size of a cat and far more mean. It has huge, sharp front teeth and an evil glint in its red, bloodshot eyes. It would not be a good idea to turn your back on it. Or to get within a mile of it, come to that.
- Alignment: 4-8 degrees of evil
Large/Furry/Sleek/Round Rat [ Rat Farm ]
Descriptions vary and don’t seem to correspond to the type of rat. The descriptions are as follows:
Most rats you'd find in the gutters are thin, dirty and scarred from the constant search for food. This one looks like it has had exactly the opposite problems down here in the rat farm, its exceptionally large frame (for a rat) bulked up with fat and muscle and its fur clean and brushed. While it doesn't have any scars, it seems to be looking for some.
You're not actually sure this is a rat. Perhaps it might be a small dog, with those vicious claws and teeth and that unratlike size. What are they feeding the rats down here?
This is a fat rat, being fattened up for the slaughter. With all its needs fulfilled, it seems to have had nothing better to do than to fight the other rats all day long. It looks much bigger and meaner than the kind of rat you'd find on the streets.
You're not actually sure this is a rat. Perhaps it might be a small dog, with those vicious claws and teeth and that unratlike size. What are they feeding the rats down here?
- Alignment: Neutral
Bes Pelargic
Rat
This is one of many rats that roam the city of Bes Pelargic, looking for scraps to eat and garbage to crawl through. This one appears not to have eaten for some hours and has a look of hunger in her eyes.
- Alignment: Neutral
Dinky
Rat
This is one hell of a large rat - easily the size of an ordinary cat. This one is so evil that is seems to glow a dull shade of black, but then, that could be its glossy fur coat.
- Alignment: Details needed.
Ephebe
Rat
This is a rat. Despite their bad reputation, this rat is actually a cute little animal, with grey fur and a pink tail. It wiggles its nose at the world.
- Alignment: Details needed.
Ohulan Cutash
Rat
This self-satisfied rat seems to be doing quite well for itself. Its fur shines, its body is well-rounded, and its eyes glitter in anticipation of new rubbish heaps to burrow through.
- Alignment: Details needed.
Razorback
Rat
A fat, healthy looking rat, roughly the same size as a cat.
- Alignment: Neutral
Sto Lat
Rat [cabbage warehouse, streets, sewers]
This is a rat. Despite their bad reputation, this rat is actually a cute little animal, with grey fur and a pink tail. It wiggles its nose at you.
- Alignment: Details needed.
Rat [sewers]
This is a great hulking rodent the size of a small dog. Its scabby grey coat oozes with old muck, and one scratch from its filthy claws would probably fester for a week. Great yellow fangs curve down from its evil mouth behind beady red eyes that gleam in the dark, and a wormy, scaled tail coils and writhes behind it.
- Alignment: Details needed.
Counterweight Continent [Meadow, Plains]
Rat
Woefully malnourished-looking, this poor little rodent seems not to be doing very well for itself out here on the plains. Still, at least it's not reduced to living off garbage in the city.
- Alignment: 3 degrees of evil
Lower Ramtops [Octarine Grasslands]
Rat
The rats of the plains grow much stronger and healthier than their city-dwelling cousins. They could almost be considered cute, but out here they're more often thought of as a tasty treat for the local bird life, or the occasional hungry dwarf.
- Alignment: Details needed.
Uses
- No special uses
Special Notes
