Doing positive soul commands also affects the actor? I get bored waiting between his emotes, so I do soul commands (comfort, hug, etc). Sometimes, it causes him to do emote. Helps pass the time. After doing one of these, (hug, specifically), I got the quest. No prompt from the actor. If you spam, he tells you to stop, so maybe waiting a minute or so between souls?
