The following skills are used in the stages of this spell:

Components

The nugget is not consumed, but it becomes leached of colour for a little while, turning it into a "clear glass nugget". A clear glass nugget can't be used for either this spell, or Union of the Phoenix and Divine Dragon.

The nugget will regain colour (apparently of a random hue) after a few minutes:

The clear glass nugget flickers and goes primrose yellow.

It seems to remain clear if it's in a container, though.

Casting messages

Casting

You toss a shimmering glass nugget into the air, where it hangs suspended in front of your eyes.
You fix the nugget with your gaze causing it to spin around on its axis.
It spins faster and faster, blurring as it returns to a molten form.
You probe the molten nugget, seeking out its chromatic essence.

Success

You create a conduit between yourself and the nugget, urging it to release its colour.
The colour drains from the nugget and a flash of pumpkin orange light shoots out from it and into your eyes.
Your eyes change colour and start to glow pumpkin orange.
The clear glass nugget cools and solidifies as it drops back down.

Failure

You suddenly realise that you are wearing a pair of artificer's spectacles!
You hastily release the spell.
The pumpkin orange glass nugget cools and solidifies as it drops back down.

OR

A dazzling flash of pumpkin orange light comes from the jade green glass nugget,
searing your eyes.
The world goes black! You are blind.
The clear glass nugget cools and solidifies as it drops back down.

Eyewear blocks this spell when worn, as do fake beards (possibly anything occupying the "face" layer does   research If this has been marked on a page, it's because there was something that probably isn't known, that the person who edited the page thinks could be found out. Perhaps you could figure this thing out, and be famous evermore. ).

What others see

Wizard stares at the nugget which starts to spin around on its axis.
It spins faster and faster, blurring as it returns to a molten form.

Duration

Details needed.

Wearing off

It looks like this when it wears off:

Your eyes return to normal.

Notes

  • The "star candy" from the Bes Pelargic L-space Bubble can be eaten to immediately end the current effects/duration of PMG.
  • Recasting the spell while still under its effects will just change the colour of the glow (and add more time to the duration).
  • Temporary blindness can be a result of spell failure.
