Myrandil's Mask of Death (abbreviated as MMD) is a miscellaneous wizard spell which will make the caster look like a zombie.

This spell costs 30 GP to cast and takes up 10 units of mind space.
Effect
The spell adds the following line to your description:
He looks quite dead. His skin is grey-green in colour and hangs off his flesh in tattered strips.
You'll also get periodic chats about bits falling off of you, the stench of rotting flesh surrounding you, etc.

Components
This spell requires a human head (consumed) and the focus of an octogram.
Casting messages
Message and success:
You prepare to cast Myrandil's Mask of Death. You place a human head in the middle of the octogram. You imagine what it would take to re-grow the head, then reverse the process. You send out your thoughts, trying to lure a nearby spirit near you. The instant a careless spirit crosses the octogram's boundaries, you grab it with all the force of your will. You drain the spirit's power and feed it into the head. The head flares with green light and then crumbles into nothingness. You feel your features twist, your skin wrinkle and your flesh move.
To others:
Wizard places a human head in the middle of the octogram. Wizard runs her hands across the head. Wizard closes her eyes and sways a little from side to side. Wizard suddenly jerks forward. Wizard runs her hands over the head and mumbles something. The head flares with green light and then crumbles into nothingness.
End of spell:
You feel the power of the spell fade and your features revert to normal. You exclaim: I live... again!
