Skill in TM wiki |
Magic.spells is the skill subset which determines when a magic-user can learn a particular spell, the casting speed, and the general magnitude of effects of spells where appropriate.
Learning spells
All witch spells have a minimum level requirement in the spells subskill appropriate to their spell type before they can be learned. For example, Mother Feelbright's Busy Bees - an offensive skill - requires a minimum level of 140 in magic.spells.offensive.
Spell effects
Wherever a spell has a significant variable effect (e.g. amount of damage caused, duration of effect, etc.), the magnitude of that effect is often related to the appropriate spells subskill. For example, the damage caused by Mother Feelbright's Busy Bees is influenced by the caster's skill in magic.spells.offensive research If this has been marked on a page, it's because there was something that probably isn't known, that the person who edited the page thinks could be found out. Perhaps you could figure this thing out, and be famous evermore. .
