The magic.methods.mental skill tree determines one's ability to use cerebral powers during spellcasting. As such, it is a particularly important subtree to witches, as it encompasses the art of headology.
Stat dependency
Of particular note regarding this subtree is that it is one of very few skill trees that has a pure stat dependency - all mental skills are affected purely by intelligence. This generally has the consequence that magic users have especially high bonuses for a given level in this tree, as the bonus isn't 'diluted' by any other stats (which for a spellcaster, are almost inevitably lower than their intelligence stat).
