Lag

Lag refers to the MUD running more slowly than usual. There is a daily burst of lag at around 2AM GMT--the backup lag--but it can also be caused by things happening in the game.
The lag is also personified in two NPCs: The LAG, and The Laggy-san.
Finally, "lag" is a soul.
