Long Description

The kodachi is a very short sword, about the size of a rolled-up newspaper or a long truncheon. The tempered blade is extremely straight and sharp, and although the sword itself is short, with a skilled wielder the handling of the kodachi is so surprisingly quick that it sometimes surpasses a long sword. A simple black hardwood pommel wrapped in pale yellow cord finishes the deadly kodachi in subtle simplicity.
