Gold and mahogany ring
The weave indicates that the gold and mahogany ring is a ring of treasure. All such rings can be used to summon a single common chest to store things and get them back.
The gold and mahogany ring can be obtained from Niknax.
It comes as an artifact with one charge, but using it does not use up the charge, so you can keep using it.
twist the ring of treasure you use up 100 gp, and if you pass the skillcheck then the chest appears.
- The skillcheck is most likely magic.items.worn.ring.
- A bonus of 316 magic.items.worn.ring seems to work most of the times.
You twist the gold and mahogany ring. Light streams out of the gold and mahogany ring and forms the shape of a chest in the air. After a moment, a huge gold-bound chest materialises with a satisfying thump.
When someone else twist a ring of treasure ring and pass the skillcheck the chest moves to that summoner's location.
The huge gold-bound chest lifts into the air slowly, then fades into nothingness.
It is also possible to drag the chest.
There is a log of who put or took things from the chest which you access by reading the chest.
You read the huge gold-bound chest: Written in gilded letters in Ephebian: [...] Sat Aug 29 13:04:44 2020 [EDT]: Player1 put in a Thieves' Guild Licence, a lavender Genuan maid uniform, a golden lemur, a fluffy cloak, a colourful sash, a medium satchel, a crowbar, a black leather brassiere, a leather undershirt, two elegant stilettoes and a knife belt. There seems to be 10 entries to the log. When one player puts/takes several items in a row it gets recorded in the same entry.
- To appraise an item it has to either be furniture or it has to be in your inventory.
- The chest is not furniture and it cannot be placed in a player property.
- The chest weighs approximately at least 101 lb. If someone could take it then it could be appraised.
The huge gold-bound chest is about 2 feet 8 inches long and about 2 feet 8 inches wide.
