Description(s)

Descriptions are example(s) from a single individual. Variations may be numerous, and dependent upon species, gender, age, location, and other variables.

--Ankh-Morpork--

Troll [citizen - adult male]

This is one of the trollish inhabitants of Ankh-Morpork. Looking more like a mobile mountain than a sentient creature, he is possibly one of the immigrants from the Ramtops, come to seek a fortune of sorts in the Big Wahoonie. Good fortune may only be possible for him by removing his teeth one by one, but ill fortune is easy to come by.

  • Alignment: Neutral

Troll [citizen - adult female]

This is one of the trollish inhabitants of Ankh-Morpork. From the slightly polished skin and the way she moves, it is quite obvious that this is a female troll, and probably happy to live in Ankh-Morpork.

  • Alignment: Neutral

Troll [citizen - child]

This is one of the trollish inhabitants of Ankh-Morpork. She's pretty small, for a troll...

  • Alignment: Neutral

Postal Inspector

This is a very strong trollish postal inspector. He is going about his appointed rounds whilst maintaining a close look out for any hint of a dog.

  • Alignment: Details needed.

Troll [bodyguard]

This troll is employed by the more well-to-do guilds, like the merchants, bankers and lawyers. Somehow you get the impression that it's not because of her financial prowess.

  • Alignment: Neutral

Troll [starlet]

This troll starlet has a platinum hairdo, or at least a good amount of platinum in the rocks on her head.

  • Alignment: Neutral

Troll [traveling]

This is one of the trollish inhabitants of Ankh-Morpork. Looking more like a mobile mountain than a sentient creature.

  • Alignment: Neutral

Troll [warrior]

This is a troll warrior who is doing her hardest to make Discworld a safe place to er...whatever it is trolls want to do. Like most troll warriors, she looks like a gigantic piece of rock gone haywire; her body has been chipped in every possible place, but it looks like she has plenty of rock left that's not been reduced to shards.

  • Alignment: Neutral

Watchman

This is a trollish Constable of the Ankh-Morpork City Watch. The duty of the Watch is to keep the peace and to see to it that the law, or whatever passes for it in Ankh-Morpork, is obeyed.

  • Alignment: Details needed.

--Various Terrains--

Troll [adult - variant #1]

This is one of a variety of troll that lives in the forests in and near the Ramtops. He stands tall, his rocky body in sharp contrast to the greenery and life seen all around. Large and friendly, he wants nothing more then to sit back and feast on a large and delicious rock.

  • Alignment: Neutral

Troll [adult - variant #2]

This troll brings a sizable bit of rockiness to the lush forest. She looks rather rocky, as if to bring the appearance the mountains down to the lowlands. However, she is nice and friendly by trollish standards, prefering to munch on rocks and pebbles rather than travellers.

  • Alignment: Neutral

Troll [adult - variant #3]

Being one of the many trollish inhabitants of the forest, this troll adds a rocky face to the area. He appears quite lazy, and for a troll, relatively friendly. Forest trolls simply wander about, consuming whatever large rocks are to be found, making room for trees and other wildlife to grow.

  • Alignment: Neutral

Troll [pebble]

A small blue light is zipping about and a small grey pebble is gathering moss. This small, round pebble is covered in fuzzy green moss, and seems to be sucking its thumb. How curious.

  • Alignment: 1 degree of good

Evil Troll

This looks like a troll not to be messed with. He is huge, menacing, and particularly evil. This is the sort of troll that would rip apart a cuddly toy and actually enjoy it.

  • Alignment: 3 degrees of evil

--Terrain Roads--

Cooking Monster

Hearing the news about the excess amounts of people on the roads, this troll left Ankh-Morpork to cater for the copious amounts of people running away from Ankh-Morpork. His road-side venture is either doing really well, or really badly - hopefully his accountant is not a troll.

  • Alignment: Neutral

Uses

  • None

Special Notes

  • Evil trolls turn into boulders during the day. At night, they return to troll-form and automatically attack characters entering the room.
  • Cooking Monsters on the terrain roads will sell food.
  • Unique troll NPCs include several bridge-trolls, as well as the wandering troll locksmith. And Detritus, of course.
  • Troll brains cannot be used to refill tanning kits.
  • Troll corpse parts do not decay, and thus do not need to be pickled.
