A copper wand aka wand of sparkles is an artifact that shoots harmless sparkles at a target.
You recognise the copper wand to be a wand of sparkles. This is a copper wand. The top sparkles faintly with a fusion of colours. It emits a slight octarine glow.
The copper wand is about nine inches long and an inch wide. It is made of copper and could be used as a weapon of type mace.
To use a copper wand, hold it and "zap" it at the target. The target can be any inanimate or animate object. The sparkles are harmless.
Examples of what the user sees while zapping the wand:
Your wand sizzles a bit and spits several <colour> sparkles. Your wand twitches for a moment before it lets out some <colour> sparkles. Your wand sizzles a bit and spits several <colour> sparkles. Your wand fires a volley of many <colour> sparkles.
Observed colours include blue, cyan, green, magenta, white, and yellow. If the player's terminal can see colour, then the sparkle colour will be coloured.
The wand can fail, but there does not appear to be any damage:
Your wand sizzles sadly. You zap the copper wand at yourself but nothing happens!
Copper wands are sold at:
- Twingo's Twisted Trinkets stall in the middle of Sator Square in Ankh-Morpork.
A wand with 8 charges is about $4.75.
If this wand is zapped more times than its available charges, it will disintegrate, and thus not be available for recharge.
You zap your copper wand at you. Your wand crumples into ash as a green flame envelopes it.
