Cereus (and, specifically, night-blooming cereus) is a cacti with large, fragrant flowers that open after nightfall. The plants themselves may be tall and columnar, else thin-stemmed climbers. Night-blooming cereus has medicinal properties, and the fruits ("dragonfruit") are edible.
