Celery is a member of the Apiaceae family, a group of flowering plants that also includes carrot, parsley, fennel, and many other species. Although it is stalk which is most commonly eaten, the leaves and root are also edible. The seed is used as a spice; and an extract is considered medicinal.
This is a long, green stalk of celery, with almost fluffy leaves on the top. Undeniably crunchy, it looks just like one you remember your mother forcing you to eat when you were younger.
