All students and graduates of this guild are expected to follow both the letter and the spirit of the rules outlined below. Members of this guild are reminded that we are both a
place of business and one of the finest teaching establishments on the Disc. Any and all punishments are at the full discretion of the Admin.

For the purpose of this document Sicarians refers to members of the Ankh-Morpork Guild of Assassins, and any other reference to assassins, is a collective noun for the four
specialisations.

First and foremost, a Sicarian is expected to act in a manner befitting the guild at all times and thus treat members of the guild with respect. We expect the highest levels of
behaviour from those elected to serve the guild, and the guild is expected to show the appropriate respect to them, and the positions they hold.

1. Behaviour

1a. Persons judged to be targeting members disproportionately [1], whether randomly or because they closed (or attempted to close) a contract, will be handled with extreme
prejudice.
1b. Persons judged to have become members of this guild with the intention of harassing, or breaking any of the rules contained within this document will be removed from the guild
without appeal.
1c. Sicarians must not attack or otherwise interfere with another Sicarian's business unprovoked.

All reference to contracts here refer to anyone closing a contract originating from the Ankh-Morpork book as well as a guideline for Sicarians closing contracts in books belonging
to other specialisations, unless that specialisation's rules supersede.

2. Contract Details

2a. Clients must not be informed of the fact they are currently contracted.
2b. Any individual not able to view a specific contract may not be informed about any details relating to said contract while it is active.

3. Closing Contracts
---------
3a. Assassins must not arrange a time, place or any other kind of preferential treatment with the client.
3b. Assassins must not arrange the closure of a contract with the person whose money funds it.
3c. Assassins must not arrange to return money earned from contract closure to the person whose money funded it.
3d. Assassins must not remove items from the corpse of the person they have so recently inhumed, the exception being only to retrieve those items used in attempts to inhume.
3e. Assassins must not arrange with a third party to loot the corpse of the person they have so recently inhumed.

4a. Unprovoked attacks [2] will not be tolerated on guild premises.
4b. The dragging of corpse into or out of the guild will not be tolerated.
4c. Anyone abusing the protective features of guild grounds to avoid the consequences of their actions may face disciplinary action.
4d. Poison labs are for the use of members and the invited guests of the guild only. All other persons should consider these areas off-limits.
4e. Poisons or explosives produced by a member of the guild, or produced in our laboratories or our shops may be sold to, traded with, or otherwise given to anyone not an assassin.

5a. The Guild Administration [3] has the final say in all matters and are thus accountable.
5b. After holding the position for a period of two roundworld years the Guild Master is required to step down, thus forcing an election. The incumbent is permitted to stand for
re-election and there is no limit on the number of consecutive terms.

6a. It is expected that as long as the premises remain open, the other specialisations will respect the rules of the charter with regards to contracts and poisons.
