Wurphle's Packed Lunch (abbreviated as WPL) is a miscellaneous spell which creates a wizard's lunch sack, a wearable container to preserve items within.
Spell Details
The spell costs 300 gp to cast and takes up 10 units of mind space.
It creates a permanent wearable container that preserves fresh items within for 24 hours or more (possibly forever?), as long as the sack is kept closed.
Failure will consume the components, and cause damage to the caster (exactly 500 damage has been measured), but not damage any items, or anyone else in the room. It is unknown what type of damage it is - possibly fire damage (try fire HEB defense?).
The colour of crystal you use (blue, green, red, yellow) is placed into the finished item, and the colour affects the outcome.
A large yellow crystal gives: "emanating an aura of vacuum preservation."
A large green crystal gives: "emanating an aura of caustic preservation."
A large blue crystal gives: "emanating an aura of icy preservation."
A large red crystal gives: "emanating an aura of fiery preservation."
You will consume over A$8000 worth of expensive and hard to get components in casting the spell.
The lunch sack is named "white wizard's lunch sack" for an undyed bear fur.
If you dye the fur first, with any valid dye colour (from any ink bottle colour), the colour will appear in the item name, and in the description, for example a "silver flecked black bear fur" will create a "silver flecked black wizard's lunch sack".
You can use a two foot riving or a six foot riving of any wood type, from the woodwork shop in Sto-Lat (other lengths will assumedly work).
The final item refers to the colour of thread on the needle, the type of wood used for the riving, the type of crystal, and the colour of the bear fur in it's description, for example;
This rustic-looking pouch is essentially a large white fur bag designed to be worn from the waist. Sewn together with neat sienna silk stitching, the fur is supported internally by a wooden frame to help it retain its shape and a simple oak clasp at the opening allows the sack to be closed securely. A mysterious, glowing yellow rune carved from oak has been affixed to the sack's surface. While the exact purpose of the rune is indeterminable, its exciting sparkliness really hammers in the lunch sack's wizardliness to any onlooker. A gossamer web of octarine glows dimly on its surface, emanating an aura of vacuum preservation.

Casting
Syntax:
cast Wurphle's Packed Lunch
Self Success:
You prepare to cast Wurphle's Packed Lunch. You hold out a sapient pearwood seed in front of you and force it to sprout with your mind, weaving its branches as they grow into a wooden frame. You neatly sew a bear fur over the frame to form a white bag, imbuing it with magic with every pass of your small silver needle. You whittle a six-foot riving of oak into an intricate magical rune and place it onto the bag, where it sticks in place. With the leftover oak, you fashion a simple clasp to hold the bag closed. Finally, you hold up a large yellow crystal above the rune and reach into it with your mind, harnessing its power for the purpose of preservation. Crackling arcs of yellow energy surge out of the crystal and play over the surface of the white wizard's lunch sack for a moment before sinking in reluctantly.
Other Success:
Wizard holds out a sapient pearwood seed in front of him. Suddenly, it sprouts with shocking speed into a wooden frame. Wizard neatly sews a bear fur over the frame with a small silver needle to form a white bag. Wizard whittles a six-foot riving of oak into an intricate magical rune and places it onto the bag, where it sticks in place. With the leftover oak, he fashions a simple clasp to hold the bag closed. Wizard holds up a large yellow crystal above the rune and stares intently at it. Crackling arcs of yellow energy surge out of the crystal and play over the surface of the white wizard's lunch sack for a moment before sinking in reluctantly.
Self Failure:
You prepare to cast Wurphle's Packed Lunch. You hold out a sapient pearwood seed in front of you and force it to sprout with your mind, weaving its branches as they grow into a wooden frame. You neatly sew a dusty rose pink bear fur over the frame to form a dusty rose pink bag, imbuing it with magic with every pass of your small silver needle. You whittle a two-foot riving of blackthorn into an intricate magical rune and place it onto the bag, where it sticks in place. With the leftover blackthorn, you fashion a simple clasp to hold the bag closed. Finally, you hold up a large red crystal above the rune and reach into it with your mind, harnessing its power for the purpose of preservation. The bag explodes!
Other Failure:
Wizard draws the blued Klatchian steel knife from the old leather knife scabbard into her left hand. Wizard holds out a sapient pearwood seed in front of her. Suddenly, it sprouts with shocking speed into a wooden frame. Wizard neatly sews a dusty rose pink bear fur over the frame with a small silver needle to form a dusty rose pink bag. Wizard whittles a two-foot riving of blackthorn into an intricate magical rune and places it onto the bag, where it sticks in place. With the leftover blackthorn, she fashions a simple clasp to hold the bag closed. Wizard holds up a large red crystal above the rune and stares intently at it. The bag explodes!
