Some clothes have pockets that are secret (like the Moonlit market utility belt) or hidden (like the the black silk sash from Djelibeybi). It's not clear how this is different from normal pockets, or if it's just a fancy description detail with no effect. --Frazyl 02:36, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

I don't know... maybe it has an affect on covert things? Like... concealing stuff, or palming items from/slipping them to the container. Oh, or maybe it makes it so that people don't see the pockets when they look at it on someone else's inventory. Or do you see pockets on someone else's stuff anyway? Hmmmm. ...Maybe it would be worthwhile to note which aspects of things you can only see if they're in your own inventory/the ground. --Ilde 06:39, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
Well it seems to me you can never see the contents of items inside living things. You can't even generally look at stuff inside something else (except stuff in yourself or in furniture in your player house/shop).
Rifle might allow any or all of this, but as it is thief only I don't know much about it.

When an item with pockets is on another living thing, the only description I can see of it is the main description. A Llamedese cloak has one handy pocket (which may not be the best example because it's not improvised...) and rifling it reveals "You think the Llamedese cloak contains..." (doesn't say what kind of pocket it has). So different pockets are probably description and nothing more. --Tabs 7:14, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

Looks like it's in the "other effects" area. It comes before enchantment, but its order with the "sprinkled powder" effect changes depending on which you did first. --Ilde 20:04, 25 November 2010 (UTC)

Golden light thing

The mysterious ritual that the Djelian priesthood performs doesn't apply only to corpses. There's a large gourd on the ground on Market Street:

A tall priestess arrives from the southwest.
The tall priestess recites a prayer.
The tall priestess calls upon Yay for protection.
The tall priestess cries out to the sky and gestures at the area surrounding her.
The large gourd begins to glow with a soft, golden light.
The tall priestess says in Djelian: Have you seen the High Priest of Yay?

This is a large rounded gourd of the variety used to fetch, carry and store liquids around the home.  Apparently the flesh of the fruit before it is hollowed out can be quite tasty too.  A thick leather strap has been attached to the gourd, such that it can be slung over one shoulder.  A piece of cork is attached to the gourd's neck and can be used to plug and unplug it.
It seems to glow from within with golden light.
It is in excellent condition.
It is open.

Taking the gourd had no effect. After five minutes, the gourd disappeared in the same way corpses do:

The golden light surrounding the large gourd gets brighter and brighter until it is completely obscured.  After a few seconds the light dissipates, leaving nothing behind.
