Shonky Shop

The Shonky Shop is a unique shop, located on Clay Lane in Ankh-Morpork. You can sell things here, as in a general store, but it's also a cheap clothes shop. Unlike most shops, it starts out without any stock listed directly: to buy things you must "search" in the various rooms in the shop, then take what you find to Brother Soon Shine Sun, who will then put them behind the counter for you to buy in the usual way. These clothes will usually be damaged and much cheaper than you could get elsewhere.

When you hand clothing over to him, it takes a bit of time for it to appear in the stock, since Brother Soon Shine Sun will talk for a little while. For example:

You offer to give a short-sleeved white cotton shirt to Brother Soon Shine Sun.
Brother Soon Shine Sun says with a Sum Dim accent: Ah, yes...
You give a short-sleeved white cotton shirt to Brother Soon Shine Sun.
Brother Soon Shine Sun exclaims with a Sum Dim accent: Very good quality, you have a good eye!
Brother Soon Shine Sun says with a Sum Dim accent: Yes, that will cost you 62p
Brother Soon Shine Sun exclaims with a Sum Dim accent: You want to buy? I put it on list, you buy!
Brother Soon Shine Sun places the short-sleeved white cotton shirt behind the counter.

You can hand multiple items to him, as long as they were all found in the shop. If any of the things you try to hand over wasn't found by searching, he won't accept any of them. He will repeat his monologue for every item, one at a time.

If you fumble or drop one of the things you search out, it will disappear and automatically appear in the list of items Brother Soon Shine Sun has on offer... sometimes. Once an item has been bought or shoplifted it can be dropped without disappearing. Items in your inventory also appear to become yours after a reboot.

It seems to take a modest amount of adventuring.direction to get an accurate picture of the shop with the "map" command, or to move around in it without going in a direction you didn't intend. A bonus of 100 is enough to walk around with very high chances to TM. You'll get TMs to a bonus of around 130.
