Seagull (Ankh-Morpork)

This is a seagull of the nastier kind. Its feathers are a dirty grey colour and it has a crooked yellow-grey beak. It looks around as if it owns the area.

  • Alignment: Neutral

Seagull (Chronides Farmstead)

This is a typical Ephebian seagull: an aggressive scavenger and annoying noise maker capable of driving even the most patient nature lover insane. It's a fairly large bird, both grey and white with some black markings on its head and the tips of its wings. It has a stout, longish bill, skinny legs and webbed feet all in a shade of bright orangey-red.

  • Alignment: Details needed.

Seagull (Djelbeybi, Circle Sea)

The gull has grey feathers on its back and wings and white belly and neck. Beady blue eyes regard its surroundings, on the look-out for food.

  • Alignment: Details needed.

Seagull (Ephebe)

This is a seagull of the ubiquitous Ephebian kind, the sort cursed by fisherman and just about everyone else in the city who sells anything even remotely edible. Its feathers are smugly sleek and white, and its legs and beak bright red.

  • Alignment: Details needed.

Seagull (Counterweight Continent)

This seagull, an inhabitant of the shores of the Widdershins Ocean, appears to be quite well-fed, living off of small fish unlucky enough to be too close to the surface, and anything edible she can find. With bright white feathers and blue eyes.

  • Alignment: Neutral

Seagull (Sto Plains)

This little scavenger keeps a sharp eye out for any food scraps that happen to be left visible. Best not to feed these greedy monsters.

  • Alignment: 3 or 4 degrees evil

Gull (Bes Pelargic - Tang Bay, Tang Estate)

Like the pigeons of the beach, seagulls are one of those universally constant creatures. Wherever there is water, a seagull will be near, gazing off to the horizon with a dead fish hanging limply from its mouth. Which is pretty much exactly what this character is doing.

  • Alignment: Neutral

  • No special uses

Special Notes

  • Seagulls on the coastline may come in groups of 1 to 5.
  • Ankh-Morpork seagulls can be difficult to kill. They will flee if an attempt is made to hit them openly with a weapon or offensive spell, or if a bare-handed attack is not successful at first hit. Although Myrandil's Vicious Seizure will seem to hold the seagull, it will not prevent the bird from fleeing. These seagulls must be one-hit killed with bare hands, iai with a sword, backstabbed, or other similar "surprise" means.
  • Seagulls in some areas produce "seagull skins" and in other areas "bird skins". These are different size and weight.
