Cost
The price for "This darkened gothic style scale breastplate is made from premium grade leather. Embossed upon it is a broken black ninjato. It has a sturdy black leather lining and black trim." is DjToon 382.25 for a witch and DjToon 458.70 for a thief.
This means the price is 18/15 times more expensive for thieves than for witches.
This also works for "This pair of darkened gothic style scale greaves is made from premium grade leather. Embossed upon them is a broken black ninjato. They have a sturdy black leather lining and black trim.", it's Djtoon 335.50 for a witch and DjToon 402.60 for a thief.
Weights
The weight listed for the leather plate gorget appears to be in error? It's possible that Ug has it wrong, or I'm missing some option somewhere, but my efforts to match this come up with Ug listing the weight as "about 2 pounds" rather than the 5/9 that's quoted.
[Pokey]: I weighed it at the DJB PO, it came up as 'between 2 and 3 deben'. 1 deben is 2/9 of a lb so that comes out as 5/9lb. Maybe bugged/old gorget? Try ordering one and seeing if it's still the same? Make sure it's a 'plate' gorget though, because a 'gorget' with no qualifier comes out at 2 3/9, as shown. [/Pokey]
Pokey, the DJB post office balance requires >150 pe.cu.dj bonus to get an accurate reading. Use the AM post office instead, it's always accurate. Details on the Weigh page. Helia (talk) 12:02, 2 September 2017 (EDT)
AM balance gives 8/9lb, will update. That's the value I expected from the info in ugg wiki page (same weight class as gloves, I think?). Still might be out f date or a bug though. Will order one next time I'm in DJB. Pokey
AM balance is giving me 2 lbs for a premium studded leather collar with silk lining and gold trim. Brynja
Weighing my warrior's various Ug Ogg armours on the balance in the post office, I found several that don't match the weights listed here. Note: all of these are premium materials. I'm getting 1/9 for socks and underwear (wiki says 2/9 and 3/9 respectively), 5/9 for the undershirt (wiki says 1), and 2 lbs for the padded cloth skirt, leather scale boots, and winged helm (wiki says 2/9, 1 3/9, and 1 8/9. My attempts at weighing things do, however, match the wiki's current figures for the padded cloth underskirt, leather scale coif, leather scale halter, and leather scale jacket. I'm also getting a weight of 1 6/9 for the steel scale gorget (which seems low given my other character's leather collar). Brynja
Things probably got changed at some point. Please update things that are no longer accurate. It is unclear if the old items change to update themselves for new weights, that could be checked... --Frazyl (talk) 11:40, 21 July 2018 (EDT)
Layers
Haubergeon uses the same layer as jacket (descriptions found via google put it as either a shorter hauberk or another term for an armoured shirt, but layer-wise, it's neither). And while this is probably known, shirts, while covering the same areas, are a different layer.
Byrnie covers chest, abdomen and back, and shares layers with the Cuirass. (wikipedia paints it as closer to a sleeveless hauberk).
NEW ARMOR LAYER DISCOVERED. Bikini top covers chest and back, and I haven't been able to find any armour or clothing that shares the same layer. It's compatible with undershirts and waistcoats. Calling the layer "ug-top" until someone else can think of a better name. Helia (talk) 23:57, 14 August 2017 (EDT)
- In my notes I called it the bra layer, probably because it was blocking wearing bras. That was a while ago though. --Frazyl (talk) 04:36, 15 August 2017 (EDT)
- It's not the bra layer. The chainmail bikini top is an armour in the bra layer, covers only the chest, and blocks wearing bras. Ug Ogg's bikini top does not block wearing bras. I can wear all of the following at the same time: chainmail bikini top, thick dark blue waistcoat, padded cloth undershirt from Ug Ogg, and bikini top from Ug Ogg. Helia (talk) 10:52, 15 August 2017 (EDT)
Another new armor layer discovered. Padded underskirt covers abdomen and legs, and I haven't been able to find any armour or clothing that shares the same layer. Not even a custom underskirt from Nicolette conflicts with it, as those fit in the skirt slot. It's compatible with armours from the miniskirt slot like Short leather miniskirt, and armours from the skirt slot like Mail skirt or padded cloth skirt from Ug Ogg. Calling the layer "underskirt." Helia (talk) 03:12, 17 August 2017 (EDT)
The miniskirt seems to be a skirt rather than a suspender-belt. It covers the same areas and conflicts with the padded cloth skirt (haven't checked it with the non-padding skirts), but not with the protective or either underwear. Brynja
Also, just to confirm, the underwear in the groin category shares the layer of the Protective, not the underwear in the padding. Brynja
