=Stat Effects=
Starting with 18 int, then cross-contemplating spells (contemplating one spell, waiting for gp, then contemplating a different spell) and checking stats at intervals:
+
*21:59:33 - Start of stat effect, 14 int (-4)
+
*22:14:13 - Still 14 int (-4)
+
*22:14:36 - Up to 16 int (-2)
+
*22:19:48 - Quit for a reboot
+
*22:23:13 - logged back in (may be a few seconds late)
+
*22:38:00 - Still at 16 int (-2)
+
*22:39:14 - Up to 17 int (-1)
+
*22:52:58 - Still at 17 int (-1)
+
*22:54:13 - 18 int, stat effect gone
+

So, the first stage lasts between 14:40 and 15:03, the second stage lasts between 19:59 and 21:36 (assuming that quitting in the middle had no effect), and the last stage lasts between 13:44 and 16:13It seems likely that the first and last stage last exactly fifteen minutes, and that the second lasts exactly twenty.

:Nice, this fits the algorithm from the mudlib (or at least, it does with the ordering fixed up as above; note that beads+bless gives the same result either way around) - I'll update the article.  --[[User:Chat|Chat]] 18:24, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

In fact, I listed the combined effects alphabetically, so when I combined all three, I listed it as "Beads & Bless & Cap" because that's the alphabetical sequence of the three words. When I did the testing, I did beads and cap separately, then together, then blessed, then did the previous combinations again whilst blessed. Can't even guarantee that I did things in the same order the second time round. I've now looked at the log and corrected sequencing where needed. Also added in a new datum. Tested it a few times, and the extra strength lasts exactly 15 minutes. Putting on another heart while already affected has no effect (doesn't reset or extend the counter).

Stat Effects

Single Items

Example 1

Effect Con Dex Int Str Wis
None 19 8 11 8 19
Prayer Beads (Beads) (Radiant (R)) 19 8 11 8 21 (+2)
Bless 20 (+1) 9 (+1) 12 (+1) 9 (+1) 20 (+1)
Cap 19 8 13 (+2) 5 (-3) 22 (+3)

Combinations

Example 1

Effect Con Dex Int Str Wis
None 19 8 11 8 19
Cap then Beads (R) 18 (-1) 7 (-1) 12 (+1) 4(-4) 23 (+4)
Bless then Beads (R) 19 8 11 8 21 (+2)
Bless then Cap 19 8 13 (+2) 6 (-2) 21 (+2)
Bless then Cap then Beads (R) 17 (-2) 6 (-2) 11 4 (-4) 21 (+2)
Bless then Beads (R) then Cap 17 (-2) 6 (-2) 11 2 (-6) 22 (+3)

Nice, this fits the algorithm from the mudlib (or at least, it does with the ordering fixed up as above; note that beads+bless gives the same result either way around) - I'll update the article. --Chat 18:24, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
I wasn't aware that sequencing was relevant, and "&" in the original table indicated that both effects were applied, not neccesarily the ordering. I would upload the text log if .txt or .log filetype uploads was permitted! Zexium
The new datum, plus the revised beads/bless ordering, are still consistent with the algorithm, so everything should be fine. FWIW, it's good that the two three-item combinations give different results based on ordering, as this shows that the ordering:
  • Is a factor, as expected.
  • Is the ordering based on when they are applied, not some other ordering (eg. alphabetical) - the mudlib wasn't entirely clear on the last point, so it's good to have confirmation.

Sek altar str duration

Tested it a few times, and the extra strength lasts exactly 15 minutes. Putting on another heart while already affected has no effect (doesn't reset or extend the counter). --Rigrig 18:16, 8 July 2015 (UTC)
