Group status messages

This is the supporting research behind the hp and gp message meanings. The method used was to create a group, get down to a low number of hitpoints (and pray to get rid of all gp), and then spam "group status verbose" and "group status brief", alternating between them to see at what amount of hp/gp the message changed. ("Group status brief" was used instead of "score brief" because "group status brief" matches colours with "group status verbose".)

This is assuming that the verbose statuses you see for yourself are the same as for everyone else.

Hit points

With a maximum of 2014 hp:

  • near death: 91 to 114: 4.52 to 5.66%
  • critically wounded: 122 to 215: 6.06 to 10.68%
  • seriously wounded: 223 to 419: 11.07 to 20.80%
  • heavily wounded: 423 to 623: 21.00 to 30.93%
  • badly wounded: 631 to 823: 31.33 to 40.86%
  • wounded: 827 to 1027: 41.06 to 50.99%
  • slightly wounded: 1031 to 1223: 51.19 to 60.72%
  • injured: 1231 to 1427: 61.12 to 70.85%
  • slightly injured: 1431 to 1631: 71.05 to 80.98%
  • slightly hurt: 1639 to 1811: 81.38 to 89.92%
  • scratched (green): 1815 to 1831: 90.11 to 90.91%
  • scratched (white): 1835 to 1907: 91.11 to 94.69%
  • almost unhurt: 1915 to 2011: 95.08 to 99.85%
  • unhurt: 2014: 100%

With a maximum of 1331 hp:

  • near death: 45 to 73: 3.38 to 5.48%
  • critically wounded: 81 to 141: 6.08 to 10.59%
  • seriously wounded: 149 to 277: 11.19 to 20.81%
  • heavily wounded: 281 to 405: 21.11 to 30.43%
  • badly wounded: 417 to 543: 31.33 to 40.80%
  • wounded: 547 to 675: 41.10 to 50.71%
  • slightly wounded: 679 to 811: 50.01 to 60.93%
  • injured: 819 to 943: 61.53 to 70.85%
  • slightly injured: 947 to 1075: 71.15 to 80.77%
  • slightly hurt: 1079 to 1195: 81.07 to 89.78%
  • scratched (green): 1203 to 1211: 90.38 to 90.98%
  • scratched (white): 1219 to 1263: 91.59 to 94.89%
  • almost unhurt: 1267 to 1327: 95.19 to 99.70%

With a maximum of 430 gp:
