Descriptions are example(s) from a single individual. Variations may be numerous, and dependent upon species, gender, age, location, and other variables.

Top Hat Monkey [adult]

This is a diminutive, gangly monkey with luxurious black and white fur and a very long tail, which functions as a fifth limb. A white ruff like a beard surrounds his naked black face, and a ridiculous square tuft of black sticks up on top of his head, like a gentleman's hat. His chest and stomach are patched with white, to break up his outline in the mottled shade.

Top Hat Monkey [baby]

This is a tiny, bright primate, with little bare hands and a naked black face, wrinkled up like an old woman's. Wondering black eyes stare wide and curious beneath the ridiculous little tuft of hair on her head. As she bounces from point to point, the fluffy black tail, twice as long as her body, whips around the twigs and branches, more effective than her stumpy arms and legs.

  • Alightment: Neutral

Spider Monkey

Large chestnut-coloured eyes peer back at you inquisitively from the delicate face of this tiny, chestnut-furred monkey. She has a charming face with bright pink lips, a few tufts of white hair and some darker markings that are reflected in dark tufts on the hands and feet as well - all eight of them. Her tail is long and powerful and curls up elegantly behind the animal when not in use, helping her hang upside down from a branch somewhere.

  • Alightment: Neutral

  • No special uses

Special Notes

  • Top hat monkeys come singly or in groups of 2 to 6
  • Adults will defend babies
  • Monkey hands can be used as a Myrandil's Vicious Seizure component
  • Sadly, although the description suggests more than the usual number of hands, spider monkey corpses only give the normal two.
