Magic.spells is the skill subset which determines when a magic-user can learn a particular spell, and the general magnitude of effects of spells where appropriate.
Learning spells
All witch spells have a minimum level requirement in the spells subskill appropriate to their spell type before they can be learned. For example, Mother Feelbright's Busy Bees - an offensive skill - requires a minimum level of 140 in magic.spells.offensive.
