Granny Beedle's Cooperative Credits is a miscellaneous witch spell which provides information about a Trick.

Effect

When cast, this spell reveals some of the following information about the Trick:

  • Its name.
  • Who wrote it.
  • What sort of target it is cast upon..
  • When the trick was created.
  • How many times it has been successfully cast.
  • When it was last cast
  • Who last cast it.

The amount of information revealed depends on the components used for the trick (see below), and the caster's magic.methods.spiritual.divining bonus.  research If this has been marked on a page, it's because there was something that probably isn't known, that the person who edited the page thinks could be found out. Perhaps you could figure this thing out, and be famous evermore.

Components

Technically, this spell does not require any components, however, if cast without components it will only reveal a single piece of information about the Trick. To get more information, cast the spell while holding a quill and carrying paper.

Casting messages

You close your eyes and run your hands over the hag stone.
You chat a bit with the stone, begging it to tell you more about itself.
You link up your mind to all the other stones of the same kind as this one.
You extract what information you can before bidding the stone farewell.
You begin to process the information you just received.

Failure

Success without paper

You frantically search for a paper to write down all the wonderous information you just received on. Finding none, you give up on the information with a sigh, remembering only that the Trick was last successfully cast a few days ago.

Success with paper

You write down what you found out on the sheet of cheap writing paper.
