Description
When this miscellaneous ritual is performed, its priest is granted the gift of the ability to read, write and understand any documents written in a multitude of foreign languages. The duration of the blessing will depend on your skill in performing miscellaneous rituals and stacks with multiple applications.
Practically speaking, this means the ritual grants you 100 written in the following languages:
- Agatean
- Brindisian
- Djelian
- Dwarfish
- Ephebian
- Gnomish
- Klatchian
- Komic
- Krullian
- Morporkian
- Tsortean
- Uberwaldean
Some of these languages are not learnable by other means.
Example
You kneel and spread your arms in benediction. You pray for the Apostles' Vision. Loudly now, you chant the names of Pishe in the many languages of the Discworld. You humbly request the power to read Pishe's Word. Your vision blurs as thousands of letters, glyphs and symbols dance in front of your eyes, but somehow, you manage to derive the meaning of each of them.
