Boardgames can be found in various locations around the Disc. They may be placed as furniture, and so can be found sometimes in player shops. Most games require more than one player.

The following boardgames are currently available to play somewhere on the Disc:

  • ---ing words game
  • Backgammon
  • Battleslugs
  • Boggle
  • Chess
  • Connect Four
  • Hearts
  • Klondike solitaire
  • Liars dice
  • Lost cities
  • Mancala
  • Mastermind
  • Mensa regis
  • Passways
  • Quick categories
  • Scrabble
  • Six nimmt
  • Solitaire peg game

The rules and syntaxes for these games can be found in the help files for the boards themselves (so that you can help scrabble if you have a Scrabble board, for example).

Boardgames can be purchased in a few shops:

You can rent scrabble, chess, backgammon, six nimmt, and mastermind games at the pub in the Lower Djel Trading Post, south of the Klatchian Foreign Legion outpost.

Publicly accessible

Boggle can be played in the cafe lounge in the southeast corner of the Ankh-Morpork Job Market.

Chess can be played in the Academy of Artificers garden, at the Traveler's Inn in Ankh-Morpork, in the lounge of the Cutangle Inn in Brass Neck and in the Fang Family Estate Entertainment Room in Bes Pelargic.

Connect Four can be played in the garden behind the Bucket pub on Gleam Street in Ankh-Morpork.

Exclusive Possession can be played in the Temple of the Listening Monks, or in the back room of the Diamond City Property House in Genua.

Scrabble can be played in the Blackglass Pub, or the Academy of Artificers's first floor lounge.

The Guild of Assassins in Ankh-Morpork has a games room south of the courtyard with a board game that changes every now and then. This room is also accessible for non-assassins.

Klondike solitaire can be played in the Hublandish Barbarians' winter or summer camp (whichever is populated).
